App privacy policy for ERICK

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

This privacy policy covers the ERICK Android app, iOS app, and keyboard extension. It explains what the app does and does not collect. The ERICK app is designed to work on your device, so your typing stays with you.

Scope of this policy

This page is about privacy in the ERICK app itself. The app does not track you, does not include analytics SDKs, and does not send typed text or in-app usage data to third parties.

What the app does not collect

ERICK does not collect, store, or send your typed text, passwords, personal data, app analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage history from inside the app.

How typing works

ERICK processes input locally on your device and passes the result to the app you are using. Word suggestions and correction also run on-device.

Internet and network access

ERICK is built to work offline. It does not rely on internet access to provide typing, prediction, or correction.

Settings stored on your device

Preferences such as layout choice, colors, font settings, and accessibility options are stored locally using normal platform storage. They are there so the keyboard remembers your choices.

Third-party services in the app

ERICK does not use third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or cross-app tracking services inside the app.

App tracking

ERICK does not track users across other companies' apps or websites. It does not use IDFA, the Android Advertising ID, device fingerprinting, or similar identifiers for app tracking.

Website and repository pages

The public ERICK website and GitHub repository are separate from the app itself. The website does not run analytics or tracking scripts. As with any website, the GitHub Pages hosting platform may keep standard server logs (such as requested URLs and basic request metadata) that are outside our control. The app does not send typing data or in-app behavior to the website.

Data sharing

ERICK does not share any data with third parties. There is no data to share because no data is collected.

Data retention and deletion

Since ERICK does not collect or store any personal data, there is no data to retain or delete. Your locally stored preferences are automatically removed when you uninstall the app.

Security

Because ERICK does not collect cloud-stored app data and does not need network access for typing, there is no app-side database of personal text to expose through a server breach. All keyboard processing happens in an isolated on-device environment.

Children's privacy (COPPA and GDPR-K)

ERICK does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions). No information is collected from any user of any age. The app contains no in-app purchases, advertisements, or external links that could expose children to harmful content.

International users (GDPR, CCPA)

ERICK is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar privacy regulations worldwide. Since no personal data is collected, processed, or stored, there is no data subject to these regulations.

Apple App Store (App Tracking Transparency)

ERICK does not track users across other companies' apps or websites. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or any other device identifiers for tracking purposes.

Google Play (Data Safety)

In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety section, ERICK collects no data, shares no data with third parties, and does not use any Android permissions related to data collection.

The production Android release is published on Google Play at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vatoo.erick.
